Dad Jaques and mom Michelle Botha decided on a vintage aeroplane theme to celebrate the first birthday of their son, JC.  The beginning of the wonderful journey of his life.

It was a very hot day and we organised water slides to entertain the kids. Therefore all the guests received a towel as a thank you gift.  A practical gift that can be used for many years to come!

We decided on a 'starter' grazing table filled a selections of breads, yummy spreads and cheeses. For mains a treat of lamb on the spit and dessert was a candy buffet filled with lots of treats, playing with the theme  'on board'.

When we travel we also pack our suitcase with our pretty holiday clothing, and that is why we decided on a suitcase as the 'goody bag' into which every little guest could pack their sweets and treats.

We were so excited about the planning and styling of this Unicorn first birthday celebration. It was such an unique color scheme and mommy Jo-Lee did give her inputs, but she gave me freedom to let my creative expressions free, which always helps in creating something beautiful and unique.

Kaylen is a gorgeous little girl and the color scheme and theme fit her perfectly.  The day ended on a high note with the Springboks that won the Rugby World Cup, so that will always be something special that Kaylen can look back on.
